Education

Parents may choose any school for their children. Jönköping has some 50 comprehensive schools for years 1-9, together with four upper secondary schools offering virtually all courses and specialisations available from the national curriculum. In addition, the International Baccalaureate programme is available, and also a number of specifically designed study programmes. One of Sweden´s three national boarding schools, Grennaskolan, having an international student base, is located near Jönköping.

The Jönköping School of Arts and Culture is very active and offers many courses in art, dance, drama, and music.
