Jönköping University (JU) is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. JU operates on the basis of an agreement with the Swedish Government and conforms to national degree regulations and quality requirements. It is characterized by internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration with the surrounding society. Research and education are carried out at four schools: Jönköping International Business School, School of Education and Communication, School of Engineering and School of Health Sciences.
Jönköping University is ranked as one of Sweden´s best regarding participation in international student exchange schemes. At Jönköping International Business School some 90 per cent of the students conduct part of their studies abroad. Jönköping University cooperates with some 350 partner universities in more than 50 countries and hosts students, teachers and researchers from many countries.
