Spectra, a project under Students for Sustainable Actions, has financed and fought for free pads and tampons at Jönköping University. Finally, after months (years) of negotiations, SSA was allowed to put them up as a trial. Enjoy free menstrual products in Accessible toilets at Rio, Campus Arena, Service Center, Akademien, Student Health Care and Student Union office. (Look for the Menssäkrad sticker on the door). If the products are used, but not misused, they can stay! Please, tell your friends and spread the word. Spectra has been standing on the campus for a week to talk about the proejct to students, having competitions and giving out free menstrual products. To continue with the campaign, an art workshop led by a pro artist Linnea Bertlin was organised, where students created art connected to menstrual cycle. The created art pieces are exhibited in Kulturhuset in Tändstickans area between 24.5. - 7.6.. There is an possibility to buy the pieces and the income will be donated to Women’s shelter in Jönköping. The intention is to reduce and shine a light on period poverty!
