Gränna Harbour

In the early 1860s, a new harbour was built in Gränna. It was inaugurated in 1863 and replaced the previous loading dock.
The project was extensive, employing about 200 men at its peak.
The new harbour facilitated freight traffic on Lake Vättern and made it possible to launch a regular passenger service. Today, the ferry service across Lake Vättern is vital for those living on Visingsö. During the summer, many tourists also use the route, making the harbour a bustling hub for visitors.
Gränna Harbour is currently operated by Jönköping Municipality.
